Sarah & Andrew Engagement Photos in Old Town, San Diego
Sarah and Andrew are back for round 2! I had done their engagement photos in December 2020 before this business was even an idea. That shoot at Centennial Park on Coronado Island was probably the one that convinced me that I could make a real business out of this work! I feel like I’ve learned so much even since then, and this new set of photos feels more like my style.
For this shoot, we went to Old Town, which is a small historical town just north of downtown San Diego. Fun fact: it is the location of the first European settlement in California back in 1769! Our shoot was on November 3rd, the day after the Día de los Muertos festivities, so we got to enjoy the incredible decorations that were put up all over town. We even ran into a skeletal representation of a bride and groom – very fitting for the occasion!
We spent almost our entire shoot searching for one particular set of stairs that we had seen in other engagement shoots online (the one in the last few photos of this series). We finally asked someone who knew where to direct us and it was an awesome hidden gem! For anyone looking for them, they’re the stairs on the side of Toby’s Candle & Soap shop! Enjoy this fun shoot!
